The American Legion. Let me tell you a bit about Post 60,our Mission, our Officers and events. As well as The
American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of The American Legion and Legion Riders.
Our Post was Chartered November 2006. Yes we've Just Started. We at Post 60 are looking forward to the
challenges ahead and the friends we'll make on the way. Our Post Officers are as follows: Commander is John Vaughn; Post Adjutant Brett
A. Baker; 1st Vice Brian Andrews; 2nd Vice Rickie Musgrave; Finnance Officer Elvis Johnson; Service Officer David Herod; Judge
Advocate Robert Mathis; Chaplin John Davilla; and Sergeant at Arms James Speer. Our goal is to live the Moto "Still
Serving America". We support National and Departments goals in these areas now. Helping the familys of Service
Members called to active duty overseas in the fight aginst terrorism. We don't let it end there. We also help our Veterans
and wounded Service Members at the VA Hospital Dallas Tx.. We contribute to the Fisher House Project: Fisher House is
free lodge for family members who's Service Member or Veteran is in the hospital. Also we work with North
Grand Prairie High school's J.R.O.T.C.. Our Riders Chapter helps out in may ways; toy runs, benifit runs, flag
detail at the DFW National Cemetary, and by fun runs to expose the public to the American Legion. Many of the members
are also a member of Patriot Guard. We have many things for members to get involved in and we are always looking
for new faces to be a part of our Post Family.
